ALL ABOUT ME !
Hi!
I'm Raquel (Kellie).
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. I am a licensed massage therapist and founder of Fredericksburg Mobile Massage. From the start of my career in massage therapy, it has been evident that my mission is to help people experience relief from chronic pain.
I know first-hand the toll that chronic illness takes on a person as I cared for my father, who was wheelchair-bound due to his bone cancer. I was fascinated with how much relief he experienced from massage therapy. I wanted to extend this pain relief to others that are suffering.
I offer relief for anyone dealing with issues such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, muscular dystrophy, and more. I am passionate about helping my clients achieve better mobility, relieve stress, improve sleep, and have more productive days. My practice balances assessment, hands-on treatment, and easy, accessible home care. I am certified in prenatal & postpartum massage therapy. I also have a private studio that is wheelchair accessible.
When I'm not practicing massage, my favorite things are reading, experiencing new cafes and restaurants, hanging out with my three children, cuddling with our dog Luke, continuing to make memories with my Mama, and spending time with my hubby. But, of course, I am also a proud graduate of Hampton University!
I look forward to connecting with you soon!

COMMON FAQs
Common Question #1 - What are the benefits of massage therapy?
The touch of a massage therapist can signal a relaxation response, causing your heart and breathing rates to slow, blood flow to increase, blood pressure to reduce, stress hormones to decrease and muscles to relax. In some cases, a professional massage may be just the cure you need to relieve aches and chronic pain and make you feel better.
Common Question #2 - Do I need to undress completely?
If you are more comfortable leaving your underwear on during the massage, that's fine. After all, one of the benefits of massage is reducing anxiety, so you don't want to be nervous. Even if you undressed, you will be covered by a sheet and blanket. The therapist will only expose the part of the body that is being worked on. No area will be exposed without your consent.
Common Question #3 - What do I need to know about my first massage session?
You will need to answer some questions about your health history and what areas of your body might benefit from massage. The massage therapist can then do an assessment to determine which type of massage would be best for you. Make sure that you mention all of your health concerns, the medications you're taking and procedures you've had so the therapist's techniques do not hurt you.
